Interior Program

The Reading Hospital and Medical Center (TRHMC) has been serving the Reading area for nearly 150 years. Throughout the myriad of renovations and additions over the years, significant wayfinding issues have evolved. Further challenges resulted from the long-standing legacy in the community regarding the complexity of navigation. GB+A developed comprehensive interior and exterior wayfinding programs for this expansive facility. Beginning with simple and pragmatic identification of circulation pathways and transitions, the program was further enhanced by the use of unique iconography and non-signage wayfinding cues.
