Exterior Program

Bryn Mawr Hospital first engaged GB+A to develop an exterior wayfinding program due to expansion of the campus. Included in the expansion were the relocation of the Emergency Room and the addition of a multi-level parking garage. These two modifications alone created significant vehicular and pedestrian challenges. The Emergency Room project also involved an unusually short lead-time. All programming, design, township permit applications, fabrication and installation had to be completed within a 12-week period. After the construction of the garage, GB+A was then retained to design a graphic solution for educating visitors in the use of the newly installed “pay-on-foot” parking validation process.
